Krabi is the provincial capital of Thailand’s Krabi province and one of the country’s most stunning tourist destinations. On the shore of the Andaman Sea, it is a beautiful resort town that frequently appears on exotic post cards. It is the ideal location for yoga practice because of it’s surroundings: clear waters, soft sand beaches and lush greenery. Book a yoga retreat in Krabi to take in nature’s most breathtaking display while having a yoga class.
Krabi is renowned for its beautiful scenery, spectacular beaches, and stunning islands. The city is a fantastic location for coral diving because it has some of the most stunning views of coral reefs in the entire globe.
Hot springs, a wildlife sanctuary, sea caves, thriving coral reefs, exotic marine life, limestone cliffs that attract rock climbers from all over the world, and national parks that include the island paradises of Koh Phi Phi and Koh Lanta are just a few of the attractions in Krabi. One could easily spend weeks there and still be left wanting more. One of the best places to go on a yoga retreat is Krabi Province, which is surrounded by rich tropical scenery and natural hot springs.
As if that weren’t enough, Krabi also has some of the most picturesque sunsets in all of Thailand, which are best viewed from a beachside bar, restaurant, or just after taking a leisurely evening stroll. These sunsets are frequently accompanied by breathtaking displays of cloud-to-cloud lightning.
Can you imagine yourself after yoga classes having a peaceful time of meditation surrounded ~by beautiful nature next to a magnificent swimming pool? It’s possible in Krabi!
A yoga retreat in Krabi can be an amazing experience! You can expect to take part in a variety of yoga classes, including Hatha, Vinyasa, and Restorative. You can also enjoy a variety of activities such as sightseeing, exploring the natural beauty of Krabi, kayaking, and trekking. During your stay, you can also nourish your body with healthy and delicious meals. And in the evenings, you can relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Krabi.
A trail that winds across soaring limestone cliffs connects Railay Beach with Phra Nang Beach in just ten beautiful minutes. Due to its stunning soft white sand and picture-perfect waters, as well as the numerous attractions and things to do once you arrive, Phra Nang is very crowded during high season.
Railay won’t let you down whether you’re visiting to enjoy the sunshine or take in the breathtaking environment. Railay can only be reached by boat since it is separated from the mainland by enormous limestone cliffs. Railay, one of Krabi’s most well-known beaches, is a refuge for rock climbers, with rain-weathered cliffs that provide expert climbers with an unforgettable experience.
Tonsai beach is tucked between two cliffs and is surrounded by palm trees that gently sway in the ocean breeze. It can only be reached by kayak or by waiting until low tide when you must walk here from Railay Beach.
Koh Mai Phai, also known as Bamboo Island, is the perfect place to find tranquilly if you’re looking for it. The distance between this tiny island and Phi Phi Don is roughly 45 minutes by longtail boat, and you can walk the entire island in about 30 minutes. Since Koh Mai Phai lacks any noteworthy limestone cliffs or lodging options, it doesn’t draw climbers. Most backpackers and tourists seeking a bustling atmosphere also avoid the island.
Maya Bay, made famous by Leonardo DiCaprio’s film The Beach, is actually home to multiple beaches, including the one made famous by Hollywood, a 200-meter stretch of idyllic, soft white sand. During high tide, some of the smaller beaches that are only directly accessible by boat disappear. The picturesque Koh Phi Phi Leh island includes the turquoise bay, which is bounded on three sides by limestone cliffs.
There are about 200 islands off the coast of Krabi. Some are little rocks that protrude from the water, some are rather large but are still uninhabited, and some are huge islands with many people living regular lives.
If you are an experienced sailor, you can rent a boat at Krabi town or Ao Nang and explore the islands on your own. As an alternative, you can hire a boat with a guide and unwind while everything is taken care of. For the least chance of uncertain weather, the best time to travel is between November and April.
Containing a variety of fascinating plants and animals, The Crystal Lagoon is one particularly stunning feature of the Natural Park, which is a region of remarkable natural beauty.
The water is naturally warm and crystal clear, being sometimes referred to as the Emerald Pool. You can swim there and escape to another universe while taking in the cascade. Watch out for the Pita Gurney bird, which was once believed to be extinct but has been seen in the area.
The Phi Phi islands soared to prominence after being used as the backdrop for the movie “The Beach,” and visitors haven’t stopped visiting ever since. You can get there by motorboat from the Krabi mainland in about 45 minutes.
There are two islands: Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Leh. Phi Phi Don is the more popular of the two because it is inhabited. The island, which is renowned for its turquoise ocean and gorgeous beaches, is truly a tropical paradise. If you’re going on a trip, depart early to avoid the crowds because it gets really hectic.
The Krabi Hot Springs are located in a gorgeous rainforest setting. They are carved into the smooth rocks, and underground thermal springs that are found inside volcanic chambers supply the water. The water includes natural mineral salts with numerous therapeutic effects and can reach temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius.
Here, you will experience complete relaxation, and there is a stream where you may cool off afterward. It makes sense to combine the springs with the Emarald Pool because they are so close to one another.
A little island, Koh Lanta Yai is around two hours’ drive from Krabi Town. It is about 20 kilometres long from end to end. The island is populated and has an excessive number of hotels and resorts.
The island itself is home to many magnificent beaches that are frequently deserted but nonetheless appear very stunning. This is the location to run away to if you want to unwind for a few days. As island tourism has not yet reached the levels of the Phi Phi islands, costs are still relatively reasonable. There are numerous diving schools in Koh Lanta, all of which are accredited and ready to take you out to see the stunning coral and marine life the waters have to offer. You will have even more locations to explore after the bridge connecting the island to Koh Lanta Noi is completed.
It’s understandable why so few travellers leave Krabi without soaking in the attractions of the Four Island tour. You can board a wooden long-tail boat for a mere few hundred baht and travel to the stunning islands of Koh Poda, Koh Tub, Chicken Island, and the port of Railay. You could rent a private boat or maybe a speedboat, which would be a lot better experience because it would give you more time to explore each location. While Koh Poda, Koh Tub, and Railay give the ability to unwind on the beach and cool down in the water, Chicken Island offers spectacular views and the possibility to snorkel amongst a variety of colourful fish species.
A fantastic day excursion is to Phi Phi. The main island has stunning beaches with clear water and fine sand, but it also boasts Maya Bay, which is possibly the most picturesque spot in all of south-east Asia. Typical trips will also take you to Piley Bay, a breathtaking location with enormous limestone mountains and clean waves, and monkey beach, where you may make lots of fuzzy friends. There are no automobiles or motorcycles on Phi Phi due to its small size. Additionally, the entire island may be traversed in a matter of hours.
The magnificent Hong Island is only a 45-minute long-tail boat journey from Ao Nang (or a 25-minute speedboat ride). The famous lagoon in the middle of Hong is surrounded on all sides by breathtaking rocks. The actual beauty of the island is found while kayaking into the lagoon itself while being dwarfed by the mountains surrounding it. There are beaches around the lagoon and on the island’s outer rim. If you’re fortunate, you might also see a monkey or a monitor lizard.
The hot springs are only 70 kilometres (43 mi) from Krabi Town. They offer the chance to take a bath in warm waters that range in temperature from 35 to 42 degrees Celsius thanks to water heated by volcanic chambers located deep underground. Although it can become quite hot, there is also a river for you to cool off in. The well-known Emerald Pool is close by. It’s a freshwater pool with a startlingly emerald tone that’s extremely relaxing to swim in. It’s a terrific way to cool off and reconnect with nature after a strenuous walk in the hot, dense jungle, all the while admiring the beauty of the surroundings. To avoid crowds and schoolchildren, arrive early.
Ruen Mai, frequently cited as one of Krabi’s top Thai restaurants, is the place to go if you’ve never tried real Thai cuisine before. And it will undoubtedly raise the bar for Southern Thai food.
Grab a private dinner at this Thai and seafood restaurant in the bustling Ao Nang neighbourhood. To serve the throngs of guests it welcomes every day, the seafood is harvested and prepared freshly.
From the top balcony seating area, you may enjoy some delectable food by candlelight while taking in the sunset over the mountains. Because of the relaxed atmosphere, it draws families, couples, and groups of friends. Vegetarian choices are also widely available.
South East Asia has an oddly high number of reggae bars, and Arty’s bar does a better job than others of capturing the traditional, carefree mai pen rai atmosphere. At Arty’s, simplicity is paramount. There are floor cushions for seating, and the beverages menu is straightforward. There are many guitars and ukuleles that are begging to be played, and the bar staff will be pleased to join you for a drink and a conversation. There aren’t many places in Krabi with a nicer atmosphere for a drink than Arty’s Bar, whether reggae music is playing over the speakers or local musicians are performing live.
While Koh Phi Phi is undoubtedly stunning, it also has a reputation for being a bit of a party island. A middle ground is a combination of the two, and that’s where Sunflower Beach Bar comes in. One of the nicest places to enjoy a drink or two is at this wooden establishment with furnishings that extend out onto the beach with views of the turquoise water, towering cliffs, and dense green rainforest. There are board games, hammocks, and fire displays on the beach, so it’s easy to unwind there and take part in the fun. If you drink a little too much, there are also accommodations available.
Hongming Vegetarian is a 100% vegan restaurant, despite the unclear name. There aren’t many places in Krabi that are solely plant-based, so it’s beneficial to visit this one at least once. And you could be happy with what you discover. Although this restaurant does go a little far with the fake meats, the real Thai food is a great and affordable lunch alternative. For a dish of rice with two curries or toppings, budget about 40 baht. Free extras include water and salad, though by this point you are aware to be cautious with salads while travelling. Another meal advice is to watch the amount of spice at this place. If you prefer mild curries, spend some time to practise your Thai ordering mai ped – not spicy.
In Krabi, Govinda’s is the place to go for Thai cuisine. There are a variety of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. However, the delectable meals may skew more vegan depending on the day you visit. Everything you’ll eat here is flavorful and, well, a little varied, so it doesn’t matter. You can choose from an a la carte menu or a variety of dishes at the buffet. The major dishes on the menu are still Thai and Indian, but visitors can’t help but appreciate the inclusion of a global cuisine. If you plan to eat here a few times during your visit to Krabi, the vegan pizza, burgers, and pasta bolognese may be a welcome sight.
The Chao Fah pier is surrounded by rows of food carts serving the best authentic Thai cuisine you’ll find in Krabi. There are enough odours in this region to whet one’s appetite.
Visitors generally are quite happy to try some of the food they havo to offer, discovering that this Krabi market is a little less expensive than the others because it appeared to have more locals than the others.
This Krabi market is fantastic for exploring while munching on some food. There are a few places to sit in front of the stage, but it will be difficult to get one if a good artist is performing. This is another Krabi market with both street food and souvenirs.
Inside the large building, the Krabi Fresh market is conducted each morning. In the morning, the Fresh Market is brimming with fresh vegetables, and at night, a night market is held all around the structure.
