Maha Rattana Chedi Si Tri Lokkathat

The beautiful Maha Rattana Chedi Si Tri Lokkathat stupa is a stunning example of how modern and Isan folk arts may coexist together. A belief in the fusion of the three worlds—heaven, the human world, and the underworld—led to the construction of the stupa.

A Dhamma puzzle room and the beautiful Buddha statue Phra Ong Dam are both housed beneath the Chedi. Visitors who come to pay respects to the Chedi can learn about the three principal pagodas of the three worlds, including Maha Rattana Chedi Si Trai Lokkathat, Naga Chedi (underworld), and Chedi Chula Mani, which is located on the second heaven of Buddhist Cosmology (human world). Worshiping this specific pagoda is said to be equivalent to worshipping the three sacred pagodas of the three realms.
