Exploring Phetchabun During Your Yoga Retreat Holiday

Things To Do in Phetchabun

Battle Conquer Muay Thai & Weight Loss Camp

This location offers both conventional Muay Thai and cutting-edge weight-loss methods in a lovely rural setting.

There are numerous alternatives and programmes, including: Muay Thai technique training, fight training, fight promotion and booking, strength and conditioning, weight loss retreats, and detox retreats.

Muay Thai Battle Conquer

Muay Thai Battle Conquer is a traditional, family-run gym in Phetchabun province that offers daily Muay Thai instruction and has been engaged in Muay Thai fighting and training while promoting Muay Thai for decades. Whether you’re a dedicated Muay Thai pupil or just need a Sunday gym excursion to learn about this Thai tradition, you can be sure to be in good hands with the experienced instructors working in this institution.

Wat Pha Sorn Kaew Temple

The Wat Pha Sorn Kaew Temple is perched on a hill with magnificent mountain ranges as a backdrop. This stunning piece of art is one of Thailand’s best-kept secrets. Five characters can be seen from a distance as you get closer to this attraction. There are five Buddha statues here, each varying in size. These statues are a sight to witness, standing majestically among the mountains. Wat Pha Sorn Kaew Temple is widely regarded as Thailand’s most beautiful temple.

A vibrant mosaic wall with a tapestry of tiles and ornaments is a feature that gives it life. The temple has a reputation as a centre for meditation because it is surrounded by nature and situated in a relatively peaceful area. Since the temple doesn’t get many visitors, there isn’t currently any public transportation to the location. Wat Pha Sorn Kaew is, however simple to reach through private transportation. Although everyone is welcome and admission is free, it wouldn’t hurt to make a donation to support the upkeep of this lovely location.

Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park

This park is ideal for hikers because it is mostly mountainous. There are hundreds of different bird species there, though, and it has a significant concentration of bird life. Because of this, visitors to this park like to spend time watching birds.

The best that nature has to offer can be found in abundance in this paradise. The park is dotted with waterfalls, all of which are easily reached via the hiking routes. And as you go up in elevation, different overlooks are placed up so you can see the lovely landscape that surrounds the park.

Weapon Museum in Khao Kho District

It served as a foundation for mounting cannons during the battle against the communists and was later converted into a weapons museum.

The museum, which is located on Khao Kho Mountain, is a place full with historical lessons. This location, also known as Itti Base, is where a variety of weaponry are kept, some of which are shown outside and others inside a museum. A fighter jet, artillery, an infantry fighting vehicle, tanks, and bunkers are on display. A speaker is available to explain the entire subject if you’d like a presentation on the rich history of this location.

Thung Salaeng Luang National Park

This park is a lover of nature’s heaven. A trip through Thung Salaeng Luang produces unexplainable exhilaration because of its unspoiled forests and diverse animal and bird life.

Limestone has been crushed over time to form hills, which is part of the landscape. These hills are covered with thick tree clusters that form lovely forests, which are home to 17 different species of mammals, the elephant being the most abundant. A tiger might be visible if you’re lucky, but these sightings are uncommon. With approximately 190 different bird species present in the park, the bird life is also diversified. With designated camping areas and cabin lodging options, a trip to Thung Salaeng Luang National Park should take more than a single day.

Si Thep Historical Park

Are you stuck for ideas in Phetchbun? There is never too much history to learn. And a visit to Si Thep is a journey into the past that is rich in information about Thailand’s varied history.

The old town’s remains are the main draw of Phetchabun. This old town, which dates back more than a thousand years, was allegedly constructed by the ancient Khmer Empire. Ancient structures, including a moat and a mound, can be seen by taking a stroll inside the ruins. Two information centres display ancient artefacts recovered from the site and offer exhibitions on this rich history to help you understand.

The historical park is open every day from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, so no matter what day you go, you can tour it. Accessibility is guaranteed by a service tram into the park.

Phu Thap Boek Mountain

In the province of Phetchabun, this peak is the highest point. A visit towards the end of the year or the beginning of the New Year allows you to admire the elegance of cherry blossoms that blanket the hills at this time. But because of the high elevation, the weather here is consistently chilly. Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park is located inside of this mountain. You can go for a hike here and pass through lovely evergreen forests and cabbage crops owned by the Hmong people who live on the mountain. An also well-liked activity is a night-time climb, where hikers ascend the mountain at nightfall and are treated to a spectacular night-time view of the towns of Lomsak and Lomkao below.

Dining Out in Phetchabun

Best Restaurants & Bars in Phetchabun

Noi’s Cafe

In a canteen setting, Noi’s Cafe offers two to three dishes, rice, and salads or vegetables, along with wholesome Thai food. One of the tastiest and healthiest foods in the world, Thai food is even more nutrient-dense where it is grown, and this place uses all the fresh food from the nearby countryside.

Eden at Khao Kho

This place serves vegan food on top of a hill where a Hmong family of farmers grows veggies. It is run by a group of vegan volunteers who are started by assisting the family’s mother in finding employment to pay for medical expenses. In the distance, it’s possible to see the wind turbines on a hilltop. In close proximity to the post office, the communist battle zone’s weapon museum, and famed fog scenery this restaurant also serves groups, with a dedicated menu.

Italia Gusto

This restaurant offers both vegetarian and vegan alternatives, with dishes that can be made vegan. However, the selection of Thai food is restricted. Pizza that is vegetarian and can be ordered without cheese is also available. Just outside the restaurant, there is a shopping section and a health store that sells ice cream, including two flavours of vegan sorbet.

Bangon Bar

British and Australian cuisine are offered here. They also provide a selection of excellent beers. The personnel is really kind and polite, which makes this establishment stand out for its excellent service.

Jolly Cafe

The kitchen and indoor seating are housed in a white farmhouse. The restaurant serves delicious pasta (their spicy seafood spaghetti looks zesty and fresh, and the lasagna looks fantastic, too), pizzas (with a beautiful thick crust or thin base), salads, and enormous pieces of meat.

This is the kind of beautiful farm-style restaurant where fairies would be if they existed. It’s all really lovely—whites and creams, feathery flowers, and picnic tables in the shape of tepees. Set up in a rural region, it truly transports you there.

Takmoh Coffee Khao Kho

The entrance is extremely unique and quite attractive with its enormous ancient bronze Chinese statues and lovely sweeping roofs. The interiors are equally stunning and otherworldly, and they are decorated with crimson and dark wood accents and low-hanging lamps to add atmosphere.

The magic doesn’t stop there, though: a deck outdoors surrounds the coffee shop and provides a particularly lovely backdrop when the clouds are low in the sky. When that happens, it begins to assert its claim to even older Chinese land.

Pino Latte

The food, setting, and views are all very great, which is why this eatery is a solid favourite with tourists in Khao Kho!

Skip the cuteness and frills and relax in peace and quiet while taking in some of this region’s most beautiful scenery (it’s actually one of the top view places).

Everywhere in Khao Kho, it seems, provides you a fresh perspective, and this location is no exception! Enjoy a piece of cake or some fresh vegetables while taking some amazing selfies against the cityscape.

Moai @ Khao Kho

This is really intriguing and draws attention just from the outside because it’s unusual to find a relaxed cafe surrounded by two enormous Easter Island statues.

It is the ideal location for a brief coffee stopover with views of the river and mountains.
