The Place Where the Rivers Converge

In Nakhon Sawan, four major rivers meet together to form the powerful Chao Praya River, which continues on from there. On most days, you can plainly observe the two contrasting hues of the rivers at the location where the two main rivers, the Ping and the Nan Rivers, converge: one is a reddish colour, and one is more green.

Since cars are not permitted inside the park area, there are restrooms and changing areas for visitors there as well as a sizable parking lot to leave your vehicle.

Bueng Boraphet Aquarium

The largest freshwater lake and swamp in central Thailand is called Bueng Boraphet. Wat Kiriwong

Although Wat Khiriwong covers a huge area, the Phachulamanee pagoda is the main attraction.

A beautiful view of the surroundings is provided from the top of the hill. Although it is somewhat compact, which reduces photo opportunities, there is still a lot to see. As Thais count the bottom level as the first, you must also go up a flight of stairs to reach level 4, which is further three levels above. This requires stair climbing, which may not be suited for everyone.

Wat Bang Pramung Floating Market

Visit the Wat Bang Pramung Floating Market in Nakhon Sawan rather than the two near Bangkok if you want to see a genuine floating market. It is located just outside Bang Pramung Temple and about 10 kilometres outside of Nakhon Sawan city.

Local Thai vendors may be seen setting up business here after bringing up their boats that are loaded with goods and veggies. Given that it is not exclusively for tourists, prices at this floating market are far lower than at the Bangkok version.
