Go three or four streets after leaving Wat Pho Chai till you arrive at the Mekhong Riverside Promenade to visit the contemporary Phra That La Nong chedi.

The Phra That Chedi or stupa is in the middle of the river, however, is what most people are drawn to. The sunken chedi is a wrecked Lao-style chedi that lies buried in the Mekhong River. It collapsed in 1847 and is only visible when the Mekhong’s water level is low.
