Bright Yoga, founded by Ricardo Martin, is a beacon of wisdom and love for the practice of yoga. Originating from Venezuela, Ricardo discovered his passion for yoga a decade ago and has since dedicated his life to sharing this transformative practice with others. After training with Larry Schultz in 2010, Ricardo began leading Yoga Teacher Training programs, and together with Joy, they have certified over 500 yoga teachers. Bright Yoga's philosophy is rooted in the journey of self-discovery through yoga, as encapsulated in the Bhagavad Gita quote, "Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self."

Our 24-day course includes shared room accommodation, providing a space for relaxation and reflection. The accommodation is part of a comprehensive package that also includes brunch, Wi-Fi access, and the use of our swimming pool and other facilities. For a more personalized experience, participants have the option to book their accommodation directly with the Komune Resort & Beach Club. Sample Daily Schedule

At Bright Yoga, we offer a comprehensive and immersive yoga training experience. Our daily schedule is designed to provide a balanced mix of practical training, theoretical learning, and personal development.

The day begins at 6:30 am with a session of Vipassana Meditation, setting the tone for a day of mindfulness and focus. This is followed by an intensive Asana Practice & Training from 7:00 am to 10:00 am, where students get to hone their yoga skills under the expert guidance of our experienced instructors.

After a well-deserved brunch break from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, we delve into the theoretical aspects of yoga with a session on Theory (asana clinic, practice technique and more) from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm. This is a crucial part of our curriculum as it provides students with a deeper understanding of the principles and techniques of yoga.

Following a short break, the second practice of the day commences at 3:00 pm and lasts until 5:00 pm. This session often includes Asana technique, learning how to practice and teach, and partner teaching exercises.

The day concludes with a guided meditation practice from 8:00 pm to 8:30 pm, allowing students to unwind and reflect on the day's learnings.

In addition to the daily schedule, students at Bright Yoga have the opportunity to learn a variety of specialized techniques and practices. These include the dynamics of flying, arm balance and inversions, backbend technique, hip openers, and how to apply anatomy into movement. We also teach students how to set up their practice schedule using Ashtanga and the Rocket Routines as their daily practice, train their body in a dynamic way, and how to teach, adjust and adapt the postures within these routines.

Our courses are open to anyone who has a 200Hr Yoga Alliance Certification based on Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, or any student who attended and approved any of our 200Hr Courses. What is not included:

At Bright Yoga, we strive to provide a comprehensive and enriching experience for our students. However, there are certain aspects that are not included in our course. Here's a list of what is not part of the Bright Yoga course:

  • Flight Tickets & Transportation: We do not provide flight tickets or transportation. Students are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the course location.
  • Yoga Mats: While the resort does have yoga mats, we highly recommend that students bring their own thick mat that can support their joints during the Ashtanga practice.
  • Lunch & Dinner: Meals, apart from the brunch break included in the teaching schedule, are not provided. Students will need to arrange their own lunch and dinner.
  • Extra Activities: Any additional activities such as trips, massages, or other extras are not included in the course fee.
  • Other Classes with Bright Yoga: Any other classes with Bright Yoga outside of the course curriculum will incur additional costs as per our pricing schedule.
  • Video Recordings: We typically do not offer video recording of the sessions. However, this can be arranged by request and posted on the Facebook group. Please note that all videos will be removed two months after the conclusion of the course.

What is in the package?

Our package is meticulously curated by our experienced directors, Kunkanit Phrombut and Ricardo Martin, who have been practicing yoga for over a decade and have certified more than 500 yoga teachers. The Bright Yoga package includes an immersive teaching schedule that is adaptable to the needs of the group and the requirements of the teachers. The schedule typically begins with a Vipassana Meditation session from 6.30 to 7.00, followed by Asana Practice & Training from 7.00 to 10.00. After a brunch break from 10.00 to 11.30, we delve into Theory, which includes asana clinic, practice technique, and more, until 14.30. Following a short break, the day concludes with a Second Practice session from 15.00 to 17.30.

Food Arrangements at Bright Yoga

At Bright Yoga, we believe in the freedom of choice when it comes to dietary preferences. We understand that everyone's body and nutritional needs are unique, and we respect that. Therefore, you are not required to follow a vegetarian diet to participate in our programs.

However, it's important to note that our offerings do not include lunch and dinner. This allows our participants the flexibility to explore local cuisine or prepare their own meals according to their dietary preferences. We encourage our participants to nourish their bodies in a way that supports their yoga practice and overall well-being.

While we do not provide meals, we do have a brunch break scheduled in our teaching schedule. This break is an excellent opportunity for participants to refuel their bodies, connect with fellow yogis, and enjoy some downtime.

Please remember that while we strive to create an environment that supports your yoga journey, it's essential to take responsibility for your own nutritional needs. We recommend bringing any specific food items or supplements that you require to maintain your health and energy levels throughout the course.
