What is not included

At Ananta Center, we strive to provide a comprehensive and immersive experience in our 14 Days Zen Meditation Retreat in Thailand. However, there are certain aspects that are not included in the retreat package.

Firstly, the retreat is designed to help you disconnect from your daily habits and dependencies. Therefore, frequent trips to the bustling town are not included in the retreat. We believe that such excursions may not be beneficial to your meditation journey.

Secondly, while we do our best to ensure a smooth retreat experience, unforeseeable circumstances such as political or climatic disruptions may occur. In such cases, we will return 80% of your down-payment, but the remaining 20% is not refundable.

Thirdly, visa arrangements are not included in the retreat package. If you plan to stay in Thailand for less than 30 days, you will not need a visa. However, if you plan to stay longer, you will need to apply for a 60-day tourist visa from a Thai consulate or embassy before your trip.

Fourthly, while meals are provided at the retreat, no reductions will be made if you decide not to eat at the centre. Also, please note that wine, alcohol, and all drugs are strictly forbidden at the retreat. Smoking is also prohibited in the buildings and immediate surroundings.

Fifthly, while we offer a range of massages, individual massage classes are not included in the retreat package. These can be organized on the spot at the Ananta centre as requested for between 2 (minimum) and 4 (maximum) participants.

Lastly, while we do provide internet access via wifi, we encourage you to limit your usage to maintain the tranquility of the retreat.

When you book the 14-day Zen Meditation Retreat in Thailand with Ananta Center, you are signing up for a comprehensive package designed to provide a holistic experience of tranquility and self-discovery.

The retreat is located in the serene Ananta center, nestled 6km away from the small town of Ao Nang in the Krabi district. The center is surrounded by a National park, and the nearest beach is just 3 km away. You may even encounter Thai elephants from a nearby trekking camp or inoffensive monkeys while taking the small path to the beach.

Accommodation is included in the package, with rooms located within the Ananta center. All rooms are designed for two people, and you may share your room with another guest of the same sex.

The package also includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all based on fresh local Thai cuisine. The meals are primarily vegetarian but may sometimes include prawns, fish, and chicken. Your host, Phot, is a professional chef who has had a restaurant for years in Ao Nang.

The retreat includes meditation courses, yoga, and energetic exercises. These activities are designed to help you find the middle way, between the firmness of discipline necessary for developing your awareness and the freedom to do what you want.

Additionally, you will receive between one to three massages during your stay, depending on the program and possibilities of the moment. These massages range from Siam herbal massages, traditional Thai massage, essential oils massages, reflexology, to Corean relaxation, and massages in water.

The retreat also offers free time for individual or collective sharing of your feelings. A meditation in front of the sunset on Klong Muang beach is also possible and will leave you with unforgettable memories. In the evening, you are free to propose activities related to the retreat like music, movies, singing, and more.

Please note that the maximum number of participants for the retreat is 10 people. Also, no vaccinations are needed for Thailand, and you don’t need any visa if you stay in Thailand up to 30 days.

Lastly, the retreat provides internet access via wifi, ensuring you stay connected during your stay.

Our professional chef, Phot, prepares most dishes non-spicy intentionally, but for those who love 100% Thai cuisine, plenty of spices are available. Here are ten types of food you can expect to enjoy during your stay at Ananta Center:
