Chestnut Hill Eco Resort, originally known as Stream Garden Retreat, was founded in 1996 by Pook, a local from the nearby town of Thung Lung. Inspired by the teachings of Krishnamurti, Pook envisioned an oasis that would welcome people from all over the world to a beautiful jungle retreat. In 2016, the resort was rebranded as Chestnut Hill, carrying forward the legacy of Stream Garden while furthering our commitment to sustainable eco-tourism and sufficiency economy. Today, we are a social enterprise actively supporting rural communities, particularly in education, social, and environmental issues.
