Classes and Activities

At Ananta Center, we offer a unique and enriching experience at our One Day Spiritual Retreat in the Ananta Center, Thailand. This retreat is not just a holiday in an exotic spa, but a true retreat with holistic care. It is not a stay in a monastery to learn Buddhism, even though Buddhism will be explained during the stay. We ask for a real commitment to an inner will to explore meditation and other paths to natural well-being.

The day begins at 8:30 am with a nourishing breakfast, setting the tone for a day of tranquility and self-discovery. Following breakfast, from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, we engage in exercises and yoga. These body awakening sessions are led by Eve Bosio, a Yoga teacher, and sometimes take place on a deserted beach or a nearby island. This is followed by a meditation session to welcome the sunrise and feel connected to Mother Earth and the beauty of nature in Thailand. This meditation helps to start the day more centered and turns your attention to your roots in Nature.

After a period of consciousness awakening and silence, we break for lunch and free time from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm. The afternoon, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, is reserved for relaxation. This is the time for massages and other individual cares, resting, or free meditation in the garden, near the stream, in the jungle, or on one of the nearby beaches. Individual sessions are also available in the afternoon upon request.

At Ananta Center, we believe in teaching meditation in a gentle manner, even if a regular practice is necessary to feel all the benefits from it. We believe that meditation which is too harsh for westerners will simply lead you to give up this fabulous way to reach inner peace and real well-being. We believe it is not necessary to suffer while learning meditation and we are very vigilant about human tendencies for self-punishment.

Accommodation is included in the price of the retreat. All rooms are for 2 people (we can of course stick the beds together for a couple) so be aware that you may share your room with somebody else (of the same sex). Meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are also included in the price. All meals are vegetarian and prepared by our local Thai staff.
