Welcome to Shanti Backpacker and Gallery, your new home away from home on the idyllic island of Koh Lipe. Nestled in the heart of the Andaman Sea, this tiny paradise spans a mere 1.6 square kilometers and is part of the Tarutao Natural Park, near the border with Malaysia.

Our unique space is situated at the entrance of Walking Street Sunrise Beach, where guests can immerse themselves in both permanent and temporary art exhibitions. At Shanti Backpacker and Gallery, we strive to create a harmonious environment that fosters creativity, relaxation, and connection with nature.

In addition to our art-focused accommodations, we offer a variety of services and experiences to enhance your stay. Our hostel is designed to accommodate 16 guests in two mixed shared spaces, offering a cozy and intimate atmosphere. We take pride in our common area, which is equipped with a kitchenette, lounge, and stage for free-use traditional musical instruments.

In addition to our comfortable accommodations, we offer a Verd Micro Healthy Corner, where guests can enjoy natural juices made from fruits and plants with medicinal benefits, as well as tapas in a pincho format.

Our commitment to sustainability is evident in our use of reusable bamboo glasses and sterilization of food using a 2l ultrasonic cleaner.

Finally, we provide a range of other services, including traditional Thai bamboo tattoos by our resident artist Chuai, private snorkeling, diving and fishing tours, and retreats or yoga classes. Our common area is designed for relaxation and socializing, featuring a kitchenette, lounge, and stage with traditional musical instruments available for use until 10:00 p.m. Enjoy complimentary water, coffee, and tea throughout your stay.

Our shared mixed bathrooms and toilets have been artistically restored by our resident artists, providing a unique experience with water heaters, vintage-style showers, hand dryers, and negative ion hair dryers. We also offer free shampoo and bath gel for your convenience.

At Shanti Backpacker and Gallery, we prioritize your safety and well-being. Our facilities are equipped with CCTV, lockers, fire alarms, fire extinguishers, and emergency signs. We also adhere to Covid-19 standards, including capacity reduction, disinfection, and staff wearing protective gear.
